1995 – 2000
- Left my beloved India and moved to the US filled with trepidation and anticipation.
- I get my first job assignment with Merrill Lynch in 1997.
- My RJ career starts with my first ever show on EBC Radio in 1999 – the start of an amazing journey that is still going on.
2001 – 2010
- I launch my TV production business and find a whole new dimension in the world of media and entertainment.
- My life changes forever. I become a mother, and my daughter enters my life and she becomes the most important person in my life.
- I get an opportunity to be up close and personal with my favorite superstar of all time – Shahrukh Khan and get an exclusive interview opportunity with him.
- I get my first stint as TV host. I get a call to host a show called called Jaago and Jeeto on Zee TV to be shot in Munich, Germany!!! For the first time, I live out of the country on my own and simply have a blast doing the show.
- Fate connected me with Mangalji in 2008, who became by mentor, and I worked with him to launch the first of several successful Dusshera festival events in New Jersey.
- I start Ultimate Media in 2009, and organize my first event.
2011 – 2020
- I organized over 20 real estate events in 2012 across multiple cities in the US making it the busiest year of my life.
- I launch the Asian American Heritage Festival in 2015 - my very own event on a grand scale for the first time.
- I suffer an irreplaceable loss in 2017 when I lose my mother who was my lodestar and my inspiration.
- Thrilling experience of working for two startups and helping them through their initial stages of growth.
- We have five editions of the Asian American Heritage Festival till Covid changes the world.
2021 – Present
- I launched the Asian American Cultural Organization – a non-profit aimed at supporting child literacy and women empowerment initiatives.
- Work and pleasure takes me all around the globe – fulfilling my bucket list of places.
- I have the unique pleasure of interviewing Aamir Khan and the Laapata Ladies team in Los Angeles as they make their pitch to get the movie nominated for the 2024 Oscars.
- I complete my 25 th year as a radio jockey. Many more to come.
