Early Life and Inspirations
Born on June 23rd in Patiala, Punjab, I had the unique experience of growing up as a
Fauji daughter, moving across India – Ambala, Shillong, Bangalore, Delhi. My most
cherished school memories are from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jalahalli West, Bangalore,
where I learned valuable life lessons. My journey began early, with my first stint as a
news anchor on All India Radio Shillong at the age of 15—an experience that sparked
my passion for media and radio.
Influences and Life-Changing Moments
My parents have been my greatest inspirations. From my mother, I learned the art of
understanding and connecting with people, while my father instilled in me strength and
resilience. A defining moment in my life came in 1999, when I hosted my first show as a
Radio Jockey on EBC Radio—a moment that changed everything for me and set me on
a path I’ve cherished ever since.
Personal Beliefs and Connections
I’m drawn to people who are direct and don’t take themselves too seriously. My best
friend and confidant is Lord Ganesha, my spiritual guide, with whom I share every
aspect of my life. My love for Bollywood runs deep—it inspires me, excites me, and
fuels my passion for creativity. Meeting and interacting with stars is a thrill, and my all-
time favorite is Shah Rukh Khan, whose charisma has always left me in awe.
Relaxation & Inspiration
Life rarely offers me a moment to pause as I juggle multiple roles and responsibilities.
When I do get the chance, I find relaxation at home, curled up with a movie or spending
quality time with my daughter, who is not only my greatest inspiration but also the light
of my life.
My tagline - "Mamta
Jisko Kuch Nahin Jamta"
Perfectly encapsulates my relentless
pursuit of new experiences and growth. My life is guided by simple yet powerful
principles.
- Never take anything for granted—nothing in life is permanent.
- Stay straightforward, honest, and to the point.
- Life is short—keep it simple and make the most of every moment.
- Growth is essential—without it, we stagnate.
- Live in the moment—it helps me navigate my multifaceted life with balance.
- Manage expectations—expect little, and you’ll avoid disappointment.
